Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus. organised a Seminar on Natural Conversion of Waste to Resources by Ms. N. Kanagam, M.Tech Biotechnology, Ph.D for Middle school students, held in CNR Hall of Excellence on 7th July, 2022.
Talking on the theme, the resource person enriched the students on
information on microbes in cleaning the environment in context to Global Warming & Pollution. Against this backdrop, she spoke about the need for a paradigm shift toward developing technologies that would convert solid waste to cheap and clean energy. She shared how Algae- a natural substance can be used as a food source for fodder in fish farming and as a fertilizer.
They were guided to manage the domestic waste and finally, an oath was taken to conserve the environment.
