CII CONTRIBUTES TO TAMIL NADU CHIEF MINISTER’S PUBLIC RELIEF FUND TOWARDS ECONOMIC AID TO SRI LANKA

Chennai, July 2022:  Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Tamil Nadu team led by Mr Satyakam Arya, Chairman, CII, Tamil Nadu met Thiru M K Stalin, Hon’ble Chief of Tamil Nadu in Chennai on Thursday and handed over a cheque for Rs.1.35 crore to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund contributed by the CII Members towards economic aid to Sri Lanka. 

In a statement issued today, Mr Satyakam Arya said that CII would like to thank and appreciate the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu  for providing various relief measures to the people of Sri Lanka who are affected due to the recent economic crisis.  Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu have a long standing economic and cultural relations, and the measures taken by the  Government of Tamil Nadu would further strengthen the relationship with the Island Nation, said Mr Arya.

He thanked the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for this opportunity to work with the Government of Tamil Nadu to provide support and assistance to Sri Lanka during this difficult times.
